Expected outcomes and deliverables

Phase 1 – Project Plan: Students will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare a detailed plan for completion of the project.

Phase 2 – Project Execution: Students will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.

Phase 3 - Outcome - Report and Presentation: Students will submit a comprehensive marketing plan with actionable recommendations based on a clear, well-defined goals. Teams will also present this in the last class. Organization representative(s) are invited to attend these presentations.

Requirements

Beginning this January, a full Marketing class in groups of five will spend 80 hours per group developing unique marketing plans for your organization. 

Based on the information that you provide and the data gathered through research, student-consultant groups will develop a tailored marketing plan to achieve your organization's goals.

Project scopes may include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting a new product/service launch.
  • Expanding your product line.
  • Improving website conversions.
  • Increasing revenue for an existing product/service.
  • Increasing market share.
  • Customer acquisition/retention.
  • Increasing brand awareness.
  • meeting the needs of a specific customer segment.
